Discover Aviation September 12 2026
Discover Aviation
Introducing children aged 8 to 17 to aviation through a Discovery flight over the Chatham, Ontario, area.
COPA’s Discover Aviation program offers young people aged 8 to 17 a free introductory flight in a small aircraft. Before takeoff, participants receive a brief ground-school lesson on the basics of flight and an opportunity to view the aircraft up close. The 15- to 20-minute flight provides a scenic tour of the local area, including Chatham, and is designed to spark an interest in aviation and inspire future pilots.
Give Hope wings tour
The 2025 Route will be Gore Bay (CYZE) to Sault Ste. Marie (CYAM) to Sioux Lookout (CYXL), Red Lake (CYRL) and Winnipeg(CYWG). If you would like to join our group for this trip (or even part of it), let us know, the more the merrier!
A Great Event for A Great Charity
Military Heritage Day june 21
Saturday June 21, 2025 will be Military Heritage Day at the Chatham Kent Municipal Airport. Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Netherlands.
Rain date will be Sunday June 22, 2025
Hope air plane pull September 27
Join COPA 203 members at the Toronto Island Airport (CYTZ) to compete against other COPA groups in an attempt to pull a QS-400 Airplane! All Proceeds go to Hope Air.
Mustangs & Mustang August 23
The Mustang and Mustangs event is bringing together multiple Second World War-era warbirds and several generations of the Ford Mustang for one show on Saturday at the Chatham-Kent Municipal Airport.

FlightFEst 2024
FlightFest 2024 saw thousands of individuals from the local community visit the airport to see aircraft, musician, arts & crafts vendors and more.

Spot Landing Competition
Always a fun and challenging event! Several of our members aimed to land on a specific spot on the runway, closest to the center wins a prize. Check out the video to validate the skills of some of our pilots.
Windsor Essex Homeschool Association
A few of our members took time out of their day to provide a ground school session and introductory flight to students of the Windsor-Essex Christian Home School Association.
The smiles on the kids were priceless!
